1960's Patek Philippe Vintage Mens Handwound Ref. 2588 Dress Watch - 18K Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 10257SH

Today's offering showcases this classic and pleasing Patek Philippe mens handwound dress watch.

With its understated silver face and timeless case with downward turned lugs, it showcases an elegant vintage Patek style. It's fairly uncommon and a great choice for a two-handed Patek.

Powering the watch is its illustrious Patek Philippe 10 ligne 23-300 movement, stamped in two places with the prestigious Poinçon de Genève, unquestionably among the finest hand-winding movements ever built.

We were fortunate to acquire it in all-original parts condition down to the hour and minute hands and winding crown.

Its 18K gold case is in excellent condition with light wear and only slight signs of previous polishing. It retains both perfectly crisp 18K hallmarks on the undersides of lugs.

Its silver dial, which appears original and untouched, shows only light aging and toning.

One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

It is running strong and true, keeping time nearly on par with as a new Patek in our testing position.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a new Teju lizard strap and have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Patek Philippe:

Patek Philippe sets the standard as the finest watch manufacturer in the world. In the 1960's and 70's, Patek Philippe produced less than fifty watches per day (contrast this with Rolex and other fine watch manufacturers that produced 500 - 3,000 pieces per day). Important examples of Patek's wristwatches took between nine-months and one-year to assemble.
