Today's offering showcases this classicly styled mens Ulysse Nardin, which appears to have been the company's answer to the Rolex Datejust.
A full sized watch, it has an elegant and shapely case with screw back and golden UN emblem - its dimensions and presentation on the wrist are essentially identical to a Rolex Datejust.
And like a Rolex, it is powered by an automatic movement that has been officially certified as chronometer, the highest distinction given to a watch movement. It also has a semi quick-setting date - quick-setting date were not something found on Datejusts until the 1980's.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.7 out of 10.
Its case presents as mint with only signs of previous polishing. Despite what the photos seem to suggest, the original markings are still fully intact.
Its beautiful dial, with pleasing vintage styled markers, has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is keeping very accurate time.
It is running exceptionally strong and true, keeping time better than many brand new UN or Rolex watches in our testing position.
For the finishing touch, it comes equipped with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
We also now have brand new vintage style distressed leather straps that would look fabulous on the watch and give it a more casual look if you would like. Please inquire if you're interested.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
