Today's offering showcases this big and beautiful mens automatic Ulysse Nardin watch with both day and date. It has a classic retro style case and elegant royal blue dial.
Measuring 35mm in diameter, it is in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Datejust. Powering it is its original 25 jewel UN movement.
It is fully Ulysse Nardin down to the signed crown and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
The robust yet shapely case with water-resistant style screw down back presents as just short of perfect mint with light aging around the edge of the engine bay as is common with these. On the wrist the case presents as gorgeous mint.
Its regal dial, which has a timeless design, has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye. It has a much deeper and richer darker tone than our photos suggest. They couldn't begin to do it justice.
As part of the restoration, the fine movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is very clean and keeping accurate time. Photos of the inside available upon request.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A half century old Ulysse Nardin that presents like new on the wrist!
Ulysse Nardin:
Ulysse Nardin is best known by many collectors for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments. Their marine chronometer was used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship, and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
