Today's offering showcases this beautiful and uncommon full size mens Ulysse Nardin chronometer.
A full sized watch, it has an elegant and shapely case with bombé lugs and screw back. Measuring 35mm in diameter by 44mm long, it is about the size of a Rolex Datejust.
And like a Rolex, it is powered by an automatic movement that has been officially certified as chronometer, the highest distinction given to a watch movement. It also has a semi quick-setting date - quick-setting date were not something found on Datejusts until the 1980's.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.6 out of 10.
Its case presents as mint with only signs of previous polishing.
Its strong black dial, which showcases very pleasing more modern style larger markers ahead of its time in the 1960's, has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker.
It is running strong and true, keeping very accurate time.
For the finishing touch, it comes equipped with a new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
We also now have brand new vintage style distressed leather straps that would look fabulous on the watch and give it a more casual look if you would like. Please inquire if you're interested.

Ulysse Nardin:
Ulysse Nardin is best known by many collectors for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments. Their marine chronometer used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship, and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
