1962 Omega Seamaster De Ville Vintage Mens Cal. 562 Automatic Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10315

Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored Seamaster De Ville from 1962

The Seamaster De Ville, showcasing both refinement and high function, was the most important Omega line from a sales perspective from the latter part of the 1960's into the 1970's.

Its monocoque - or one piece - case which insured water resistance and slim, elegant profile. The case, when new, achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.

Powering the watch is Omega's caliber 562 movement, one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, and the top-tier offering of the 500 series.

It is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.

It measures 34.5mm in diameter without the crown, just slightly larger than the size of a Rolex Date watch.

It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.

It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.7 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint with light signs of previous polishing. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Omega parts including installing a new mainspring and correct crystal, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It is running strong and true, keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch a new leather calfskin leather strap has been installed and an aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
