1962 Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Rare Cal. 560 Watch, Automatic, Date - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 6037

Today's offering showcases this classic and pleasing original Seamaster with rare and desirable caliber 560 movement. Omega only ever produced 3,000 total examples of the caliber 560. These movements were split across nine models made just for the U.S. market to avoid higher tariffs, making each in effect a "limited edition."

We have owned a number of caliber 560 Omegas but this is the first time this model has passed through our doors. The inside of the case is factory hand-engraved reference 14910-SC 62. From our research the early examples of 14910 watches were sold with dials only signed Seamaster like this one, while the examples that followed had Seamaster De Ville signed dials. They came equipped with either caliber 562 or the rare 560 movement, presumably dependent on if they were coming to the States or not.

It is in beautiful original condition. It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, crown, and even signed crystal!

Its elegant linen dial is original and untouched. It is near mint with has begin to slightly warm to a light sepia tone giving it a true vintage look. Its case presents in excellent condition.

'60's and early 70's Seamasters are great long-term buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.

It was well-serviced about three years ago and used little since. It is not in need of any servicing and is running very strong and true. For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
