Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored c. 1963 Omega Seamaster. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 562 movement, one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. It has 24 jewels and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.
It is full size for the era - 34.5mm, which is in between the size of the Rolex Date and the Rolex Datejust.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It has all of its original Omega parts and presents in gorgeous restored condition.
The case, with slightly unusual faceted lugs, presents as beautiful mint with only slight signs of previous polishing. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the very fine caliber 562 movement with fine swans neck regulation has been freshly expertly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running very strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a new leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
An over five decade old Seamaster that looks like new on the wrist!
