We are proud to offer this very fine Patek Philippe mens handwound dress watch in pleasing condition.
With its understated silver face and timeless case with downward turned lugs, it showcases a classic and elegant vintage Patek style.
Introduced in the early 1960s, the Patek Philippe Ref. 2599 represents a hidden gem in the maison’s history: a less common reference made in smaller numbers, embodying the quiet elegance that defined Patek’s golden era. It represents a fleeting transitional reference.
While it does not carry the fanfare of perpetual calendars or split-second chronographs, its significance lies precisely in its restraint.
Powering the watch is its illustrious Patek Philippe 10 ligne movement, stamped in two places with the prestigious Poingon de Genhve, unquestionably among the finest hand-winding movements ever built.
Extremely high grade, it has eight adjustments - five for chronometer positions and three for heat, cold, and even isochronism. Isochronism is the amount of wind left in the movement. Most watches slow down slightly as their power reserve moves toward empty. That is not the case with this watch - it is very high-grade. It also features an early example of Patek's Gyromax balance with moveable gold weights on the balance wheel instead of a traditional regulator.
It presents in pleasing condition. All parts of the watch are original down to the hands, and winding crown.
Its Patek Philippe case, slightly heavier than similar models, is in excellent condition with fairly light wear and fairly light signs of prevoius polishing. It retains both of its hallmarks on the sides of its lugs. Its dial perfectly retains its original raised enamel Patek Philippe signature.
One of our Master Watchmakers has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, installing a correct new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).
It's running strong and true - it continues to keep time nearly on par with a new Patek in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch it comes equipped it with a crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance. Also accompanying it is an authentication card from Stoll & Co. / eBay's authenticators ($80 value).
Please inquire if you would like us to obtain a Patek Phillipe Archive Extract for it. Patek charges 500 CHF.

Patek Philippe:
Patek Philippe sets the standard as the finest watch manufacturer in the world. In the 1960's and 70's, Patek Philippe produced less than fifty watches per day (contrast this with Rolex and other fine watch manufacturers that produced 500 - 3,000 pieces per day). Important examples of Patek's wristwatches took between nine-months and one-year to assemble.
