Item No. 4517
The very fine ladies automatic IWC featured in today's offering is powered by the superior caliber 44 movement with winding system designed by Albert Pellaton. Extremely well-constructed, this mechanism's ingenious Pellaton system has earned high praise.
Created in 1959, the caliber 44's winding system shared the same design as the well-known mens 85x series of movements found in IWC's mens dress watches and in Ingenieurs. The 44 was the first ladies "Pellaton" driven watch.
The case is understated, and the dial simple and classic. The dial has been previously restored and the watch is in just short of mint condition. The movement has just been overhauled and is keeping time.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
