Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored c. 1962 Omega Seamaster.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 562 movement, one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. It has 24 jewels and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It measures approximately 34.5mm in diameter without the crown just slightly larger than a Rolex Date.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and crown and presents in gorgeous restored condition. The case presents as mint. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the very fine caliber 562 movement with fine swans neck regulation has been freshly expertly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker.
1950's and 60's Seamasters are great buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a new aftermarket leather strap making it ready for immediate use.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
An over five decade old Seamaster that looks like new on the wrist!
The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
