Today's offering showcases this handsome midsized example of one of the company's classic vintage "ultra thin" watches in a less often seen white gold.
Epitomizing the essence of 'the classic watch' remembered today, this model features a manually wound movement, round gold case, understated dial, slender hands, and simple baton markers. As one writer aptly stated, "The extra-slim watch, whose style embraces only the strict essentials, has continued to seduce for its elegance and discretion."
Powered by a Patek Philippe caliber 175 handwound movement, the company's first ultra-thin mechanism, the watch excels in technical merits. This illustrious movement was awarded the prestigious "Geneve Quality Seal".
It is in pleasing condition, indicative of a watch worn with respect for its rarity and value. Its elegant, midsize case is near mint with excellent lines and crisp hallmarks. Its classic silver dial has been previously restored. Its high-grade Patek Philippe movement is clean.
Photos of the inside available upon request. Please inquire if you would like an Archive Extract.
Our Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with new Patek parts, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).
For the finishing touch we have installed a brand new genuine shark strap with the watch's original 18K white gold signed PP buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment .
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
Please note: A similar watch is published in Patek Philippe Wristwatches, by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery, 1998, p. 201.
