1966 IWC Vintage Mens Handwound Watch, Caliber 89 - Stainless Steel

IWC

Item No. 7922

Today we are proud to offer this superior caliber 89 IWC mens watch. Unlike most caliber 89's that came in non-waterproof dress cases, IWC equipped this one with a water-resistant style screw back case.

Powered by one of the most highly-regarded manually wound movements ever made, talked about in the same sentence as Pateks, the watch is rich in technical details.

For those unfamiliar, the caliber 89 movement was designed by IWC's renowned technical director Albert Pellaton.

All of its parts are IWC down to the dial, hands, and winding crown. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.

Its case presents as mint. The dial has been expertly restored - the printing could pass as IWC factory done to the naked eye.

Note that the shadow from the camera is covering the polished steel applied IWC logo on the dial in some of the photos.

Please view the one photo shot at a distance and angle to see how it appears in person.

Its movement has been freshly fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It winds very smoothly and is running true.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A nearly five and a half decade old IWC that looks brand new on the wrist!
