Today's offering showcases this classic retro Omega De Ville in gorgeous restored condition with emerald green dial.
Living up to its name as one of the sophisticated "De Ville" models, it features a retro somewhat "TV style" case, timeless silver dial, and very fine ultra-thin automatic Omega movement.
Although non-round watches are most often fitted with handwound movements, this model can have an automatic because it is powered by a caliber 711 movement, the thinnest automatic movement the company has ever made.
The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
The case presents mint. The original dial has been meticulously custom refinished in dark emerald green - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist - it is running very strong and true, keeping time par with a new Omega.
For the finishing touch, it has been equipped with a new calfskin leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
