1966 Omega Seamaster 600 Vintage Mens Handwound Tiffany Blue Dial Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10653

Today's offering showcases this elegant and classic vintage Seamaster 600 mens watch with Tiffany & Co. robins egg blue dial in gorgeous restored condition. Our photos could do it justice.

The 600 series was named because of the movement that powers the watch. Besides being hand-wound, a less common trait for a Seamaster, the Seamaster 600 also features a slightly thinner case than automatic Seamasters.

The dial immediately elevates this watch from a handsome vintage Seamaster into something that feels almost contemporary. Beautifully refinished in a bright Tiffany blue sunburst finish, it gives the watch a fresh, contemporary look while preserving the clean, purposeful styling that makes these early 1970s Omegas so appealing.

Indoors it takes on a cool robin's egg blue appearance, while direct sunlight reveals brighter aqua and seafoam tones that radiate outward from the center.

It measures just under 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.

It has all of its original parts down to its dial, hands, and winding crown and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - it presents as a 9.7 or 9.8 out of 10.

Its case presents as beautiful mint and retains strong lines.

Its original Omega dial has been expertly custom refinished in Tiffany blue - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. Its color is even a little deeper and richer than the photos suggest.

Its fine handwound caliber 601 movement, originally adjusted to two positions for greater accuracy, is clean.

As part of the restoration, it has been serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is running very strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, it has been equipped with a new aftermarket Omega style buckle on an aftermarket calfskin leather strap that complements the dial - done in a dark blue - making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

It would also pair very nicely with a black strap for a slightly more restrained look.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

The Seamaster:

Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.

Omega is perhaps best known for their Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
