Today's offering showcases this very cool vintage Seamaster 600 mens watch. The 600 series was named because of the movement that powers the watch. Besides being hand-wound, a less common trait for a Seamaster, the Seamaster 600 also features a slightly thinner case than automatic Seamasters.
It measures 34.5mm in diameter without the crown, about the size of a Rolex Date watch - a millimeter and a half smaller than a Rolex Datejust.
Powering the watch is its caliber 611 handwound movement adjusted to two positions.
It has been meticulously restored as part of a true expertly done restoration and presents as mint condition. The case presents as mint, and the hypocampus on the back is still strong and clear. The dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration it has been freshly fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker and continues to run exceptionally strong and true.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
A more than half century old Omega that presents like new!
The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
