These watches were made just for the U.S. market to avoid higher tariffs, and these 3,000 movements were split across 9 models, making each model in effect a very "limited edition."

It is fully Omega - it's original down to the dial hands and presents beautifully on the wrist. Its so-called "tropical" case with gold-filled top and steel back case has the look of a solid gold Omega without the price tag.

Adding to its rarity, it is a Seamaster signed version of the watch. The vast majority of the examples of this model were not signed Seamaster on the dial. Seamaster signed examples are extremely rare.

1960's and early 70's Omegas like this one are great long-term buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.

It is in honest original condition. The lugs and side of the case have slivers of gold wear, and the presentation back has fairly mild wear - it presents nicely on the wrist. Its extremely rare dial is original and untouched, just short of perfect mint.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. We have timed it in five chronometer positions - it continues to run very accurately.

For the finishing touch we have installed a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
