Item No. 10260
$ 1,545.00
Today's offering showcases this rare, classic and pleasing automatic Omega. It features Omega's rare caliber 560 movement of which only 3,000 examples were made. These watches were made just for the U.S. market to avoid higher tariffs, and these 3,000 movements were split across 9 models, making each model in effect a very "limited edition."
It has fully Omega parts and presents beautifully on the wrist. Its untouched original silver dial is in excellent condition with light aging, and its gold-filled top "tropical" steel back case has the look of a solid gold Omega without the price tag.
In construction it is a Seamaster, but this model was only very rarely branded so on the dial.
The case shows a slivers of gold wearthrough on the high points of the lugs as is common with these - and the back has marks from previous opening. It has not been previously heavily polished so retains strong lines and presents nicely on the wrist.
One of our Master Watchmakers has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, installing a correct movement clasp and new armored crystal, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).
We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.
For the finishing touch, it comes equipped with a brand new calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
