1966 Patek Philippe Vintage Mens Midsize "Ultra Thin" Wristwatch, Ref. 3512 - 18K Rose Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 7243SH

Today's offering showcases this handsome midsized example of one of the company's classic vintage "ultra thin" watches.

Epitomizing the essence of 'the classic watch' remembered today, this model features a manually wound movement, round gold case, vintage styled dial, and slender hands. As one writer aptly stated about a similar watch, "The extra-slim watch, whose style embraces only the strict essentials, has continued to seduce for its elegance and discretion."

Powered by a Patek Philippe caliber 175 handwound movement, the company's first ultra-thin mechanism, the watch excels in technical merits. This illustrious movement was awarded the prestigious "Geneve Quality Seal" and this example is stamped in two places with it.

It has all of its original parts and presents in pleasing condition.

Its elegant case is excellent condition with only light wear to the back and signs of previous polishing to the back. The case top has strong lines - it shows no signs of heavy polishing. The precious metal hallmarks on the underside of the lugs are still perfect.

Its classic silver dial with beautiful Breguet numerals has been previously restored - it is bright and clean.

Its original high-grade Patek Philippe movement is very clean.

Three of our Master Watchmakers worked for the last four years restoring the movement of this special watch to breathe new life into it (restoration value $2495). Photos of the inside available upon request. We have timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Please inquire if you would like an Archive Extract for it.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

Please note: A similar watch is published in Patek Philippe Wristwatches, by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery, 1998, p. 201.
