Today's offering showcases this superior Certified Pre-Owned Rolex Oysterdate Precision in pleasing original condition with very classic silver dial.
It measures 34.5mm in diameter - just slightly larger than a Rolex Date model.
The Oysterdate Precision have become desirable non-sport vintage Rolex watches because their understated and classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches. It's a watch that is at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions. Produced from the early 1950's into the 1980's, it was a strong commercial success for Rolex, winning a large following.
Powering the watch is its original Rolex handwound movement with date and shock resistance, and its comes equipped with its original Rolex Oyster so-called "riveted" style bracelet date stamped 1966.
It has all original parts down to the dial, hands, winding crown, and bracelet.
Its case is just short of mint with very slight remnants of wear to the underside. On the wrist its case presents as mint. Its original dial is untouched. Its original bracelets presents nicely. And its handwound Rolex movement is running exceptionally true.
Our Master Watchmaker, our highest level watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, replacing all of the waterproofing seals with new Rolex gaskets, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).
Like a brand new Rolex, the watch continues to keep perfect chronometer grade time in our testing position.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
Note: Published examples of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Vol. 2, p. 378-381.
