1967 Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Automatic Cal. 552 Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10568

There’s something especially compelling about a black dial Seamaster from this era. It takes what is already one of Omega’s most balanced and enduring designs and gives it a sharper, more modern presence - clean and quietly confident on the wrist. The contrast of the glossy black dial against the steel case and applied markers creates a look that feels both distinctly vintage and surprisingly contemporary.

This example captures that balance beautifully.

Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored Seamaster from c. 1967. It has a classic Seamaster case design with screwback case and strong black dial with cool markers and desirable crosshair design.

The proportions are what you want from a late-1960s Seamaster. On the wrist it wears with that classic mid-century Omega sensibility: versatile enough for daily wear, but with enough character to stand apart from plainer examples. This is the first one of these watches we've owned with this dial style, and we really like it.

Powering it is Omega’s caliber 552, one of the brand’s most respected automatic movements of the period. This was part of the final generation of Omega’s higher-grade 500-series calibers. It represents a moment before cost-cutting measures began to reshape production, making these movements particularly desirable among collectors who appreciate Omega’s earlier engineering standards. It is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era - arguably the finest.

It measures 34.5mm in diameter without the crown, just slightly larger than the size of a Rolex Date watch.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - it presents as a 9.7 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint condition. Its Omega dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. Its movement is clean.

As part of the restoration, the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It continues to run very strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Omega in our testing position.

For the finishing touch, it has been equipped with a new leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
