Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of an uncommon tonneau Constellation. It is fully Omega and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents as about a 9.7 or 9.8 out of 10.
Tonneau Constellations are one of the few that have a more rectangular dress watch appearance.
Powering the watch is Omega's officially certified chronometer caliber 712 movement, the thinnest automatic chronometer movement ever made by the company and worked into a chronometer that's adjusted to five positions and for temperature.
The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. It was the last very fine movement series of its kind before Omega began to make budget cuts because of the quartz revolution.
It has all of its original parts down to even the crystal.
The case presents as gorgeous mint with crisp facets. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. We have timed it on a machine that spins the watch in all directions simulating it being worn on the wrist - it is keeping very accurate time.
For the finishing touch we have installed a new band and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts. One used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center.
