1968 Omega Seamaster 600 Vintage Mens Handwound Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 5778

Today's offering showcases this classic and very cool vintage Seamaster 600 mens watch. The 600 series was named because of the movement that powers the watch. Besides being hand-wound, a less common trait for a Seamaster, the Seamaster 600 also features a slightly thinner case than automatic Seamasters.

It measures 34.5mm in diameter without the crown, about the width of a Rolex Date watch (a millimeter and a half smaller than a Rolex Datejust).

It has been meticulously restored as part of a true expert restoration and presents as mint condition. It is fully Omega down to the hands and winding crown. The dial has been expertly refinished and the quality of the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

The caliber 601 handwound movement is adjusted to two positions. As part of the restoration it has just been serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is quite pristine and is running very true.

For the finishing touch a new leather strap has been installed.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

A four decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!

The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been were embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
