1968 Omega Seamaster De Ville Vintage Mens Cal. 550 Watch, Automatic - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 5283

The Seamaster DeVille, showcasing both refinement and high function, was the most important Omega line from a sales perspective in the latter part of the 1960's into the 1970's. It featured a monocoque - or one piece - case which insured water resistance and a slim, elegant profile.

Today's offering showcases this Omega Seamaster DeVille in stainless steel with with caliber 550 movement. It is in unusually well-preserved original condition.

It is 100% original down to the dial, hands, and winding crown and even the signed Omega crystal. The case is better than near mint showing only light wear. The lug edges are crisp. It looks unlikely that the it has ever been polished.

The dial is mint. Our watchmaker has just performed the first servicing the movement has ever had since it left the factory. It looks like it is brand new.

When we acquired the watch there was what looked to be an unused vintage band with it. We have installed that to complete the time capsule style.

Accompanying the watch is its original box.

Photos of the inside available upon request.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
