Today's offering showcases this classic retro vintage Omega De Ville in gorgeous original condition.
It has a pleasingly full size for the era 36mm case.
Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a classic stainless steel case, striking and clean silver dial, and automatic caliber 752 movement used in Seamasters from the era. It's monococque or one-piece case originally helped it achieve a greater level of water-resistance.
The centerpiece of the watch is its awesome dimensional dial with wonderful raised faceted indices - it has a cool style and gives the watch a more monochromatic look.
Powering the watch is Omega's caliber 752 movement with twenty-four jewels (seven more than in many Seamaster versions from the period), day of the week indication, and a quick-setting date.
The 700 series has a direct lineage with the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly.
It has a great retro style and presence on the wrist - it's not your run of the mill De Ville from the era.
Omega used its brand new-at-the-time slim automatic winding system which allowed the movement to fit into an elegant rectangular watch without it becoming too bulky.
It is all original down and presents as a 9.6 out of 10.
Its case presents as mint. Its bezel has perfect facets and a wonderful soleil finish. On the wrist, it presents as gorgeous mint.
Its dial is original and untouched, in mint condition. Its luminous has lightly toned nicely.
A Master Watchmaker has disassembled it down to its last screw and overhauled it. It winds smoothly and is running strong and incredibly true, keeping time on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A more than half-century old all-original Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
