1969 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic Watch with Quick-Setting Date - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7304

Today's offering showcases this meticulously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage Geneve watches.

Powering the watch is Omega's very fine caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. Omega's 500 series was one of the finest mass produced automatics from the era, the 565 was the top tier offering. Watches that feature these are excellent buys today because of their quality and relative ease and low cost for servicing.

It has a waterproof style case and distinctive dial. The case measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model.

It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and crown. It presents in gorgeous true expertly restored condition. The case presents as mint and the dial is a perfect refinishing - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration the movement has just been fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It winds very smoothly and is running extremely true.

We have also equipped it with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A five decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!

Omega Geneve:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
