Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage Genève watches with true Tiffany & Co. robins egg blue color dial.
The original Omega dial has been beautifully custom refinished in a true Tiffany blue, giving this classic Genève a fresh, contemporary personality while preserving the clean, balanced design language that makes these late-1960s Genèves so appealing.
The vivid color brings new energy to the dial without overwhelming the watch’s naturally restrained proportions. The broad applied baton markers bring enough vintage structure to keep the watch grounded in its era, while the vibrant dial gives the design modern appeal.
The cases sharply sculpted, angular profile is unmistakably a product of the era, yet its clean geometry gives it an appearance that still feels remarkably current today.
Its brushed steel case sharpen the contrast, allowing the color to become the focal point without overwhelming the watch, which now feels equally appropriate with casual attire or a sport coat. We think it's a particularly successful example of how a thoughtfully chosen modern color can reveal just how timeless the underlying Omega design really is.
We think it would look equally good on a black strap. Please inquire if you would like one. Also available for sale is a period correct Omega bracelet that could be paired with it if you would like.
Its size is large enough to not look like an overly small vintage watch - the case measures 34mm in diameter, the same size as a Rolex Date model.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, and the top tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It has all of its original parts and t has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition. It presents as an easy 9.7 out of 10.
Its case presents as gorgeous mint with only very light signs of previous polishing. Its lines and engraved printing remain very strong.
Its original Omega dial has meticulously custom refinished - the printing could virtually pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the movement has been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Omega in our testing.
For the finishing touch, we have installed a new darker blue calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Omega Geneve:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els, Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.
Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Genève on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Genève (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Genève) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to the Genèvan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
