Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored c. 1969 Omega Seamaster with striking green vignette dial.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 552 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and was one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.
It measures approximately just under 36mm in diameter without the crown, about the size of a Rolex Datejust.
Its retro, waterproof style case has a very cool style, and its green vignette dial makes it really stand out. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
This watch circa dates to 1969, where it might have laid next to the Speedmaster Professional that were being used in the space program and soon would be headed to the moon.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition.
Its case presents as mint with only light signs of having ever been polished.
Its original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished - its printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the very fine caliber 552 movement with fine swans neck regulation has been freshly expertly overhauled by a Master Watchmakers. It is running very strongly and keeping accurate time.
For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new aftermarket calfskin leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
