Omega is often known by watch lovers for its Seamaster line of recreational watersports watches. Combining a striking look with a high performance movement, they've received a strong following since vintage times.

The vintage Seamaster showcased in today's offering is an gorgeous example of this phenomenon. It has been meticulously and expertly restored to extremely high condition levels and looks virtually like new on the wrist.

Powering the watch is Omega's very fine caliber 552 with 24 jewels, one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. Omega's 500 series was one of the finest mass produced automatics from the era, and watches that feature these are excellent buys today because of their quality and relative ease and low cost for servicing.

It has a striking retro design. The case is an unusual and uncommon Cosmic design with lugs that are facets of the case. It's a cool look. Its monococque - or one-piece - case, which achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back, is in beautiful condition, the dial has been expertly restored, and the movement has been freshly serviced.

For the finishing touch it comes equipped the watch with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
