1969 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Ref. 5500 Vintage Mens Tiffany Blue Dial Watch - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 9902

Today's offering proudly showcases this Certified Pre-Owned mens Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King in gorgeous restored condition with Tiffany & Co. robin's egg blue colored dial.

The Air King is the most modest of the Rolex sport watches possessing an understated elegance and clean lines. Essentially a Datejust model without a date display and with a slightly smaller diameter, the Air King still clearly demonstrates the qualities associated with Rolex watches: precision, reliability, durability, and class.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Its case presents as gorgeous mint with only light signs of previous polishing. Its original Rolex dial has been meticulously custom refinished in Tiffany robin's egg blue - its printing could pass as Rolex factory done to the naked eye. The watch presents as virtually like new.

It comes equipped with its original Rolex Oyster bracelet date stamped 1969. It shows fairly mild to moderate stretch, and its finish presents as mint.

As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, replacing all of the waterproofing seals with new Rolex gaskets, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It is running very strong and true, keeping time virtually on par with a brand new Rolex in our testing recording position.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts. One used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center.

A more than half-century old Air King that presents like new on the wrist with a stunning dial!
