Omega's flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most of all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it is suitable for both casual and professional dress.
Today's offering showcases this retro styled classic Constellation chronometer with royal blue dial. It's a prime example of a later vintage Constellation, Omega's flagship watch, before the quartz revolution took hold.
Featuring an officially certified automatic chronometer movement with quick-set date and a robust case, this late 60's - early 70's era Omega demonstrates why the Constellation was the company's flagship line.
Pleasingly full size for the era, it measures 36.3mm side, slightly larger than a Rolex Datejust.
- Here are some of its features:
- High grade movement officially certified as a chronometer by the C.O.S.C. and adjusted to five positions to run accurately across a wide range of temperatures
- Ultra-thin design automatic movement measuring only 4.25mm thick
- Thinner rotor to reduce stress on key winding parts
- Hacking feature for accurate time-setting
- Rich royal blue dial with wide steel markers topped with white for easy reading
- Distinctive large retro styled case
It has fully original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - about a 9.8 out of 10. Our photos couldn't do it justice!
The case presents as just short of perfect mint. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has freshly overhauled it. It is running very strong and true, keeping time nearly on par with a new Omega chronometer in our testing position.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A five decade old Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
