1970 Omega De Ville Vintage Mens Automatic Dress Watch with Tiffany Blue Dial - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 8008

Today's offering showcases this striking example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's De Ville watches.

Living up to its name as one of the upscale "De Ville" models, it features a sophisticated case, striking Tiffany & Co. robin's egg blue dial, and very fine automatic Omega movement.

It is an uncommon model that featured an automatic movement in a rectangular case - most often automatic movements were only put in round cases. Despite it's low profile, because of its indirectly driven minutes and seconds, space was left in the center for a rugged rotor bearing, which allowed Omega at times to fit the movement in the thinner rectangular cases.

Powering the watch is its original caliber 1002 automatic movement with quick-setting date. It is one of the early 10xx series of movements that powered many of Omega's watches from the era including Seamasters and was even worked into a chronometer version.

It is fully Omega down to the original hands, winding crown, and even signed original Omega crystal! It presents in true expertly restored condition. The original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration it has just been fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker (a $495 value). It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
