1970 Omega De Ville Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7943

Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage De Ville watches complete with original Omega "beads of rice" bracelet.

Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a classic case and elegant royal blue dial...Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice!

Its monocoque - or one-piece - Omega case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back, measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model.

Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it was the highest offering in the famous 500 series and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.

It is fully Omega down to the original hands, winding crown, and bracelet and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.

The case presents as just short of mint with very slight remnants of wear to the back. On the wrist it presents as mint. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. The original Omega beads of rice bracelet, date stamped 1970, presents as just short of mint with mild stretch.

As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has overhauled the movement, which is keeping very accurate time.

We have also equipped it with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A fifty decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!
