1970 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Waterproof Style Dress Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7277

The wristwatch showcased in today's offering is a classic example of one of Omega's vintage gent's Geneve watches.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve). According to Omega the name referred to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.

It features a classic, waterproof style tonneau case, strong black dial with baguette markers, and a high grade hand-wound Omega movement originally adjusted to two positions.

It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, crown, and even signed crystal. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.

The photos don't begin to do it justice!

The case has one area of wear near the crown, otherwise it presents as mint on the wrist. The underside of the lugs have slight remnants of wear. The back is mint.

The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it - it is keeping very accurate time. For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
