Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage midsize ultra slim watches.
It has an elegant cushion case, royal blue dial, and fine ultra-thin original handwound Omega calibre 620 movement.
Originally designed as a mens dress watch, by today's standards it would be considered a small unisex size.
It is full Omega down to the dial, hands, winding crown, and even signed Omega crystal! It presents in true expertly restored condition. The case top would have originally been gold plated although Omega also made them in all steel.
The original dial has been meticulously refinished. The printing is so well-done it could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. Its ultra-slim Omega movement is running very accurately. Photos of the inside available upon request.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
A four and a half decade old Omega that presents like new!
Omega Geneve line:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.
Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
