Today's offering showcases this exclusive and extremely fine all-original ladies Piaget watch and ring set in 18K gold and diamonds with tiger eye stones. They are accompanied by their original boxes and booklet.
Bejeweled with 30 original full size Piaget perfect factory set diamonds on the bezel, the watch is stunning. With the striking ring, they form a true statement piece. Our photos couldn't do them justice.
The diamonds are pleasingly large, white, extremely clean, and full of fire as you would expect from a watch of this caliber.
Piaget used its award-winning 9P handwound movement, a fitting engine for a watch this fine. The 9P is famous for being one of the thinnest movements ever made. The second iteration of the world's first ultra-thin timekeeping mechanism, this incredible feat of engineering measures just over 2mm thick, about the thickness of a U.S. half dollar! Despite its small size, it sacrifices nothing in performance, having earned a reputation as one of the most refined and reliable ultra-slim mechanisms.
We acquired the rare complete set from the original family who still had the original boxes and documents.
It is all original, including its two tiny case screws, which are often lost and replaced during a servicing for these watches, and in gorgeous condition.
Its tiger eye dial is original and just short of perfect mint with ghosting of the Piaget signature. Its case presents as mint. And its bracelet presents as just short of mint with previous shortening.
The stunning ring has a giant tiger eye stone and fourteen original Piaget factory set diamonds that match the watch. This would have been sold together as a set at the time of purchase. It has one small chip where it attaches to the ring band. Otherwise it is just short of mint. We think it is approximately a size 7.
Our watchmaker has just freshly cleaned and oiled the incredibly thin movement. It is keeping very accurate time.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
