At a time when the quartz revolution was beginning to take place this watch with automatic Cal. 1020 series movement, carried on both the style and mechanical functionality of a traditional Seamaster.

This Cosmic 2000 is large for the era, measuring 38mm in diameter by a full 48mm long. It is one of our favorite models of the Cosmic 2000 because of the rich, dimensional dial.

This is an early double quick-setting day date Omega watch. Omega created the 1020 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Although the idea of the double quick-set watch is most associated with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.

It has all of its original parts.

It case has a gold shell construction, which is a thick layer of gold, much thicker than gold plating. Its bezel was polished to a high polish finish rather than the sunburst finish it came with from the factory - it stands out more on the wrist. Its unique design features a hermetically sealed movement holder. It presents as mint with a high polish finish everywhere except the back. The stamping on the back is strong and clear.

Its dial appears original and mint with lightly toned luminous.

A Master Watchmaker has just fully serviced the movement. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping time nearly on par with a new Omega.

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
