1970's Rolex Cellini Vintage Mens Handwound Ref. 4087 Watch - 18K White Gold & Diamonds

Rolex

Item No. 8336

Today's offering showcases this classic and striking ref. 4087 mens Rolex from the Cellini Collection.

Rolex designed the Cellini to be the preeminent symbol of elegance and performance. A premier dress watch, this Cellini has an 18K white gold and diamond case, royal blue dial with diamond markers, and high-grade handwound caliber 1600 movement.

The entire top of the original Rolex case has been previously aftermarket set with sparkling diamonds. Bejeweled with thirty-six diamonds, its 18K white gold Rolex case makes quite a statement!

While the diamonds on the case were later jeweler set, the diamonds on the dial appear to be original Rolex factory done. Our photos couldn't fully capture the depth and color of the royal blue dial. In person it is a beautiful and rich gloss royal blue with a certain electric quality to it.

The only replacement part on the watch is the crown - all of the other parts are the watch's Rolex originals.

It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.3 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint except for fairly mild signs of previous polishing. Its original dial is mint. And its movement is running strongly.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker (for many years now Rolex has not "certified" they only "train"), has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement; carefully inspecting each part; replacing any overly worn components with genuine Rolex parts; installing a new mainspring, detent, and detent screw; reassembling and lubricating the movement; and extensive timing, testing and regulation (a $795 value).

For the finishing touch it comes equipped with a brand new Teju lizard strap and Rolex style aftermarket buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A statement Rolex that presents like mint on the wrist!
