Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's watches. Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a water-resistant style case, stunning emerald green / money green dial, and quick-setting date.
It is full size, measuring 35mm in diameter - in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
It has a monocoque - or one-piece - Omega case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.
Powering it is Omega's automatic caliber 1012 engine found in Seamasters and other models from the era. It has 23 jewels, seven more than most Omega's from the era.
It has fully Omega parts even including the original signed Omega crystal. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.3 out of 10. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
The case presents as just short of mint. The Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration a watchmaker has freshly fully overhauled the movement.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle and meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A nearly half-century Omega that presents almost like new.
