1971 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic Watch with Tiffany Blue Dial - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10550

Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage Genève watches with striking Tiffany & Co. robin's egg blue dial.

While vintage Omega watches are admired for their quality and timeless design, this Genève also distinguishes itself through its exceptional dial. Beautifully custom refinished in a bright Tiffany blue sunburst finish, it gives the watch a fresh, contemporary look while preserving the clean, purposeful styling that makes these early 1970s Omegas so appealing.

The dial's finely brushed finish plays beautifully with the light, shifting subtly from a bright Tiffany blue to slightly deeper aqua tones as the watch moves on the wrist. Broad applied baton markers with textured centers create depth and provide striking contrast against the radiant dial. Each element feels thoughtfully balanced, making a watch that is distinctive without being overstated.

The cases sharply sculpted, angular profile is unmistakably a product of the era, yet its clean geometry gives it an appearance that still feels remarkably current today. Its brushed finish emphasizes the crisp lines, creating an excellent complement to the vibrant dial.

Its size is large enough to not look like an overly small vintage watch - the case measures 34mm in diameter, the same size as a Rolex Date model.

Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, and the top tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.

It has all of its original parts and t has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition. It presents as a 9.6 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint with the slightest remnants of wear under the lug from a previously installed bracelet.

Its original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in Tiffany blue - the printing could virtually pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

Also available for sale is a period correct Omega bracelet that could be paired with it if you would like.

As part of the restoration, the movement has been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running very strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, we have installed a new dark blue calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Omega Geneve:

Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els, Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Genève on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Genève (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Genève) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to the Genèvan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
