1971 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Waterproof Style - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 5261

Today's offering showcases this striking example of one of Omega's vintage gent's Geneve watches. It has essentially the same construction as a Seamaster 600 but was sold under the Geneve model name.

It has a solid waterproof style case with screw back, striking gray dial with baguette markers, and a high grade handwound Omega movement.

It is full size for the era measuring 35mm in diameter - one millimeter larger than a Rolex Date and one millimeter smaller than a Datejust.

It is fully Omega down to the hands and crown. It presents in gorgeous true expertly restored condition - about a 9.6 out of 10. Its dial is a perfect refinishing whose printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration the movement has just been serviced and is running strong. We have also equipped the watch with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A four and a half decade old Omega that looks like new!

Omega Geneve:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
