1971 Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 Vintage Retro Mens Dive Watch with Purple Dial - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10596

Today's offering showcases this classic vintage retro Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 with distinctive purple dial. It presents in gorgeous restored condition. Our photos couldn't do justice to its condition.

The Seamaster Cosmic is one of our favorite non-exotic Seamasters from the era because of its large size, classic design, and well-made case with unique "bathysphere" style design that has an inner movement holder that houses the movement.

At a time when the quartz revolution was beginning to take place this watch with automatic Cal. 1012 movement, which has seven more jewels than its sister movement the 1010, carried on both the style and mechanical functionality of a traditional Seamaster.

This Cosmic 2000 is large for the era, measuring 38mm in diameter by a full 48mm long.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.

Its case presents as mint with light signs of polishing. The engraved Hypocampus logo on the back is still very strong.

Its original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in a deep lavender hue - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration, it has just been fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Omegas in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, it has been equipped with a brand new aftermarket calfskin leather strap in a complementary color and an aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
