1971 Rolex Date (Datejust) Vintage Mens with Silver Dial - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 7100R

Today's offering showcases this superior original example of a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date model encased in stainless steel. Essentially a Datejust with a slightly smaller diameter (34mm instead of the Datejust's 36mm) it features clean lines and a sharp look and embodies Rolex's timeless class. With its indexed engine turned bezel, it added a touch of extra class to Rolex's Oyster Perpetual line.

As precise as it is classic, the watch is powered by a mechanism that powered many early models of the Submariner, Explorer, and GMT models. A superior mechanism, it offers a level of engineering and craftsmanship that is exceptional.

It is fully Rolex down to its original Oyster "rivet" bracelet date. It has its original classic and elegant silver dial with “wide boy” markers, which is untouched and mint. The case presents very nicely - it has a couple of pin pricks on the back. On the wrist the case presents as scratch-free.

Our Master Watchmaker has replaced all of the waterproofing seals with new Rolex gaskets. It continues to keep accurate time.

It has just been meticulously detailed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Note: A published example of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Guido Mondani editor, Vol. 2, pp. 392-393.
