Today's offering showcases this rare and cool example of a vintage ref. 155.0013 Constellation.
It is fully Omega and presents in spectacular restored condition. It presents as about a 9.8 or 9.9 out of 10. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
It has a striking faceted angular case accented with soft lines around the dial and royal blue dial.
Tonneau Constellations are one of the few that have a more rectangular dress watch appearance.
Powering the watch is one of Omega's officially certified chronometer caliber 700 series movements, the thinnest automatic chronometer movement ever made by the company.
The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. It was the last very fine movement series of its kind before Omega began to make budget cuts because of the quartz revolution.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
The case presents as gorgeous mint with strong facets and lines. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
The movement has been freshly fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker - it is running very true. Photos of the inside available upon request.
For the finishing touch we have installed a new calfskin band making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
