1972 Omega Dynamic Vintage Mens Bracelet Watch with Date - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 9784

Created in 1967 by Omega's sales director Robert Forster, the Dynamic is a wonderful example of a true retro style. The clean and functional watch, a considerable success for Omega, possessed a number of designed elements that made it stand out:

An ellipse shape with recessed crown determined to be the best geometric shape for the wrist, determined after extensive study

Easy to read dial with "time zone" sections.

Unicoc case with hermetically sealed crystal water-resistant to a depth of 30m.

Available with a stainless steel bracelet or easily interchangeable water-resistant Cor-fam straps

According to an Omega advertisement at the time, "The shape of the Omega Dynamic was determined by the anatomy of your wrist; its dial by the workings of your eyes; it strap by the physiology of your skin."

We are pleased to offer this Mk II Dynamic. The second generation of the watch lasted from 1970 until 1972.

It has a beautiful two-tone dial with orange hashmarks, and its hands complement it very well.

Powering the watch is Omega's 1022 movement with pioneering so-called "double quick-set" day and date features.

Omega created the 1020 and 1022 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.

It has all of its original parts and presents in gorgeous condition.

Its steel case presents as mint with all of its original lightly engraved markings still strongly intact. Its original dial is mint.

And its fine, automatic Omega has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is keeping time better than most brand new Omegas in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, it comes equipped with a new aftermarket leather strap and buckle designed to replicate the look of the originals making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A more than fifty year old Dynamic that presents like new on the wrist!

Please note: An example of this watch resides in the Omega museum, and a published example can be found in Marco Richon's work Omega: A Journey Through Time, 2007, pg. 483.
