1972 Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 Vintage Retro Mens Dive Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 9993

Today's offering showcases this classic vintage retro Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 with beautiful royal blue dial. It presents in gorgeous restored condition. Our photos couldn't do justice to its condition.

The Seamaster Cosmic is one of our favorite non-exotic Seamasters from the era because of its large size, classic design, and well-made case with unique "bathysphere" style design that has an inner movement holder that houses the movement.

At a time when the quartz revolution was beginning to take place this watch with automatic Cal. 1012 movement, which has seven more jewels than its sister movement the 1010, carried on both the style and mechanical functionality of a traditional Seamaster.

This Cosmic 2000 is large for the era, measuring 38mm in diameter by a full 48mm long.

It has all of its original parts down to its original crystal gasket and has just finished a true expertly done restoration - it presents as a 9.6 out of 10.

Its case presents as just short of perfect mint with the tiniest bit aging on the edge of the underside of the back and the slightest wear between the lugs as is common with these. On the wrist, it presents as gorgeous mint with sharp lines.

Its Omega dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. It is a true rich royal blue color. Please inquire if you would like the white removed from the hands so that they present as steel.

As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch, a new aftermarket leather strap and aftermarket Omega buckle has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
