1972 Rolex Date (Datejust) Vintage Mens with Silver Dial Monochrome Design - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 6191

Today's offering showcases this superior original example of a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date model encased in stainless steel. Essentially a Datejust with a slightly smaller diameter (34mm instead of the Datejust's 36mm) it features clean lines and a sharp look and embodies Rolex's timeless class.

As precise as it is classic, the watch is powered by a caliber 1570 mechanism that powered many early models of the Submariner, Explorer, and GMT models. A superior mechanism, it offers a level of engineering and craftsmanship that is exceptional.

This watch has one of the very early hacking 1570's. Rolex upgraded the movement with a hack mechanism in 1972, and this watch, which has a bracelet stamped February of 1972, has a hacking movement in it.

It is fully Rolex down to its original Oyster "rivet" bracelet date stamped stamped February of 1972. It has its original classic and elegant brushed silver dial, which is untouched and just short of perfect mint.

On the wrist the case presents as scratch-free.

Its automatic Rolex movement has just received a complete overhaul from a Master Watchmaker at a wholesale cost to us of $500 which consisted of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, replacing all of the waterproofing seals with new Rolex gaskets, and extensive timing testing and regulation.

It is keeping very accurate time.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
