1973 Omega Vintage Mens Dress Watch, Technical Dial, IBM Presentation - 14K Gold

Omega

Item No. 4412

Today's offering showcases a pleasing example of one of the company's vintage dress watches. Elegant and precise, it features a classic case, a striking original technical Omega dial, and fine adjusted handwound Omega movement.

The uncommon technical dial has 1/5 second markings that served the needs of men in technical or sporting fields.

The watch is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and signed winding crown. It was presented to an IBM employee for 25 years of service. In 1973 Big Blue was a giant in technology and computing, had just introduced the floppy disk and would soon launch their first PC, entering the new era of personal computing.

The solid 14K gold case is in better than excellent condition. The original dial is near mint. We were fortunate to acquire the watch with boxes and papers. The papers are open. The reference number on the tag matches the watch although the serial number does not, most likely an oversight when the tag was created.

Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the watch. We have also equipped it with a crocodile strap and new Omega buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
