1973 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Ref. 1500 Vintage Mens Blue Dial Watch - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 10031

Today's offering proudly showcases this impressive Connoisseur of Time Certified Pre-Owned mens Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date in gorgeous restored condition - on the wrist it presents virtually like a new Rolex.

What really stands out on this watch is the striking blue vignette dial. It looks great against the steel case and hands.

Essentially a Datejust with a slightly smaller diameter (34mm instead of the Datejust's 36mm) it features clean lines and a sharp look.

As precise as it is classic, the watch is powered by the same automatic Rolex cal. 1570 mechanism that powered many of the early Submariner, Explorer, and GMT models. A superior mechanism, it offers a level of engineering and craftsmanship that is exceptional.

Here are a few of its features:

Stainless steel Oyster case crafted from a single block of stainless steel. This process originally ensured that the watch was impervious to water to a depth of 100m.

Royal blue dial

Officially certified chronometer automatic movement

Rolex Twinlock screw down crown

Precision advancing "snap" date mechanism

Acrylic crystal with 'cyclops' lens for easy reading of the date

It has original parts down to its Rolex Oyster "rivet" bracelet date and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Its case presents as mint. Its original Rolex dial has been meticulously custom refinished in blue vignette - its printing could pass as Rolex factory done to the naked eye. Overall, it presents in gorgeous condition, freshly expertly refurbished close to like new.

As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It continues to keep time essentially on par with a brand new Rolex in our testing recording position. Photos of the inside available upon request.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
