1974 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Waterproof Style Dress Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7544

The wristwatch showcased in today's offering is a classic example of one of Omega's vintage gent's Geneve watches.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve). According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.

It features a classic, waterproof style tonneau case, royal blue dial with baton markers, and automatic Omega movement with quick-setting date.

It is full size measuring just under 36mm in diameter - about the size of a Rolex Datejust.

Powering it is Omega's automatic caliber 1012 engine found in Seamasters and other models from the era. It has 23 jewels, seven more than most Omega's from the era.

It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown and even the signed Omega crystal!

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. The case presents as mint with light signs of having been polished, and the dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement. It is running strong and true.

For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Omega:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's best Swiss firms.
