Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored Omega Seamaster from c. 1975.
It is a later model vintage Seamaster. Built at a time when the quartz revolution was taking hold and Omega was cutting costs, this watch with automatic Cal. 1012 movement with quick-setting date carried on the long-standing mechanical tradition of the Seamaster.
With its so-called "tropical" case with gold plated top and steel back, it has the look of a solid gold Omega for a fraction of the price. And its red vignette dial which fades to black is striking.
It is fully Omega down to its original hands, signed winding crown, Omega crystal and even original Omega waterproofing seal! It presents in true expertly restored condition. The original dial has been flawlessly refinished. The printing is perfect - it could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
Note that the dial came out looking a little brighter under the photography lights than it does in person.
Our watchmaker has just freshly serviced the movement. It continues to run very true.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A four decade old Omega that presents almost like new!
